Well, they say if you wait long enough everything comes round again and this week we’ve heard that there is talk of changing the frequencies for television transmissions, again.
Apparently with the uptake of 4G and 5G etc., etc., there is more demand these frequencies which of course OFCOM can charge more money for, and guess what – they are talking about moving the television frequencies back to where they were before, on the analogue bands!
Well, that’ll be an interesting exercise – how long did it take to get everyone switched from analogue? No doubt there’ll be some new black boxes as a result and potentially some expensive advertising campaigns, as well as a lot of head scratching.
