Medical Video and Television
From capturing the very moment of birth through
to demonstrating the very latest medical advancement, television
and video is playing an ever increasing role in medical training
and education. Specialists and subject matter experts
can share their knowledge to a world-wide audience through
a live link up using the internet, bringing
interactive television right to your desktop.
Take One has produced many such programmes;
past projects have included a live simultaneous link up between
5 operating theatres in a London hospital to a specialist
endoscopy congress held in Bordeaux complete with interaction
between all the operating theatres and delegates at the congress
centre. Dr Roy Pounder said, "..only this medium could
provide such a powerful tool for medical education and advancement
of medical science throughout the world."
The latest technology in
filming techniques and new cameras requiring less light means
that Take One can offer multi-camera filming in operating
theatres and treatment rooms with several cameras offering
the viewer a surgeons view of the procedure as it happens.
