How does a video need to be created?

How does a video need to be created?

The content of a video needs to be thought about. One thing to think about is why the viewer should buy from you. Think about your business; why would someone choose your business over another one who does the exact same thing? This isn’t about selling; it’s about what benefits you offer which makes the difference of someone choosing to engage with your company.

    La La Land Review

    La La Land Review

The first 6 minutes of La La Land’s song and dance sequence is set in a morning rush hour traffic jam where the camera moves apparently non stop without any perceivable edits, capturing the cast as they dance, sing and do acrobatics with bikes and skateboards amongst the cars in a traffic jam on the slip road of the LA freeway. In actual fact, there are two edits within the sequence, which eagle eyed editor’s will notice happen during two whip pans that momentarily blur the image to fool the eye into thinking it’s a continuous sequence – great smoke and mirrors stuff! The whole 6 minutes took two days to film, which in movie making terms is pretty good going.

Big Brother is now watching YOU!

Big Brother is now watching YOU!

With the growth of the ‘Internet of Things’ who knows what data is being collected and where it’s being sent via our Smart TVs, XBox devices, smart meters and more. Clearly, our buying and viewing habits are invaluable to advertisers, enabling them to target specific items to a consumer who has already been profiled without their knowledge or permission. This could be thought to be in the realms of science fiction, but science fiction has caught up with reality – so next time you are in your lounge or bedroom it may well be that your smart TV or Xbox is eavesdropping on your every sound or action, so whatever you are doing, remember – ‘NOT IN FRONT OF THE TV!’.

Essentially Brennan - Review of CD Library in a Box

Essentially Brennan - Review of CD Library in a Box

The B2 has at it’s heart a Raspberry Pi micro-computer and will rip your CD’s to the internal hard drive (comes as 500Mb, 1Tb or 2Tb) as WAV files, and here’s the clever bit – when you’re not using the B2 it silently compresses all the WAV files to FLAC retaining the original CD quality but at the fraction of the space.
The inventer of the B” Brennan is Martin Brennan who is an innovator like James Dyson or Trevor Baylis, he is enthusiastic and motivated to constantly improve his product – and what’s more both he and his B2 is British!

Where is Digital Video Marketing Heading?

Where is Digital Video Marketing Heading?

Using video for lead generation can range from simply images of a product, to demonstrations, customer testimonials and background knowledge. The aim of any video marketing is to get customers to buy and some businesses find that adding a video at the check out point reduced abandoned carts and encourages the sale. With so many products being bought on line these days, the more you can make the buying process into a tangible experience, one where the customer is virtually walking round a product, opening its doors or compartments, seeing it in use, hearing from satisfied existing customers, the more likely they are to buy.

Adding Video to Your Marketing Strategy for 2017

Video is a powerful marketing tool, and when used well can really improve the return on investment. We are all becoming much more visually aware, and statistically it seems that, given the choice, we prefer to see and hear information before we read more detail. ’59% of executives,’ in a Forrester survey, ‘indicated that they would rather watch video than read text,’ and 4 times as many consumers would rather watch a video about a product before buying it.

    SHOOTING STEADY EDDIE

    SHOOTING STEADY EDDIE

A gimbal mount for a video camera allows the operator to achieve smooth, fully stabilised, dynamic and continuously moving shots where the camera seems to float through air similar to shots from ‘stedicam’ footage used on high budget movies.
The gimbal itself has been the business end of the very successful Ronin (and Ronin M) camera mount but these are heavy and cumbersome to use in the field, take some time to calibrate and can’t be used for extended shots without the cameraman taking a rest break; although there are body harnesses which can be worn to help to take the weight off the arms.

The Osmo, however, provides a 3-axis stabiliser which is designed to be operated in one hand and it’s light enough to allow the cameraman to shoot for long periods without having to spend 3 weeks in the gym developing his (or her) biceps.

Does localising your video content make a difference to ROI?

Does localising your video content make a difference to ROI?

Localising your video content enables it to be accessed and understood by a much wider audience. If you have gone to the effort of creating content, then it makes sense that you would want people to see it. After all, your content will be designed to communicate a message to a specific audience. Communication is absolutely key to every business aspect – from acquiring and retaining customers to improving employee engagement and performance. If you are only communicating your content in one language, then you are shutting yourself out of the global market.
With the rise of technology and the internet, videos have become THE main method of communicating with a targeted audience. This is not going to change, as more and more businesses are seeing the benefits in using videos to help them communicate their messages. At the same time we have seen a shift in the way that we consume video content. The world is more connected than ever before, and business has become more global as a result.
