Is Video a good marketing tool?

According to Forbes Insight, 59% of senior executives would rather watch a video than read text. About 65% of those who view a video click through to visit the seller’s website, 50% look for more information and 45% report that they contacted a business after seeing an online video about them. About 50% of those who viewed an online marketing video went on to make a purchase for their business. So not a bad percentage?

Also, according to the Online Publishers Association, internet viewers took some action after seeing a video on line in these groups:

26% looked for more information about the subject of the video
22% visited the website named in the promo
15% visited the company represented in the video
12% purchased the specific product featured

So video is still making an impact and looks set to become an increasingly important tool in the sales and marketing portfolio for 2013.
